that would only insinuate dominion
over you and i was only given dominion
to the animals and to the plants.
you are neither.
i wouldn't want to beg you to be mine.
that would simply suggest a chest filled
with emptiness searching for ownership,
dominion, and love in all the wrong places.
so instead, i'll ask You ... can i be Yours ... to use?
