07 October 2011

two hundred-sixty eight.

journey to Jesus.

when august became a strong current,
this boat craved to meet its shore, to rest.

september came with vibrant tides and
this boat coasted trusting its guide.

now october carries a current so brash,
this boat is losing its grasp on this path.

lead it back - lead us back - lead me back.
these paddles lack strength, these winds are controversial.

lead it back - lead us back - lead me back.
this map is distorted, this compass is broken.

clouds close and clasp their hands
to pray for those cast down below.

november, will you be different?
december, will you be the same?

lead us back.
