two hundred-ninety two.

stars.

tell them what you found -

drawn on every aspect of
her frame, stars aligned like

the skies, displaying a choice
glow at its proper time - skin

like night, frame like light
pasty pastel carrying colors

that stand out, stick out, scream out
like stars - like helium and hydrogen

... tell them what you discovered.

weightless joy lifting spirits above
rushing waves seeking to drown them.

stars won't drown them - reach towards them,
stretched limbs inching towards them - desiring stars.

desire them.
